A leading player in the renewable energy sector in Europe based in Germany

The role

In this challenging role you will initiate, build and maintain relations with major power producers, distribution companies, power consumers and energy traders in Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Hungary as well as other countries in the south eastern European region.

You will negotiate, execute and follow-up on non-standard transactions in the buying and selling of power and provide support of the trading strategy development in respect to both national and regional markets.

You will have significant P&L responsibility and actively seek to maximize the business development mandate and support the development of tools and systems.

You will cooperate closely with colleagues in the scheduling and portfolio management teams in the Sofia, Bucharest and Belgrade offices.

The person

To be considered you will have a recent working history within the wholesale energy industry. An expert knowledge of both developing and established European energy markets, preferably in south east Europe, is highly desirable.

You will be able to demonstrate a high level of commerciality allied with a strong quantitative background. You will know how to analyse, evaluate and communicate effectively with counterparts to achieve financial, corporate and personal objectives.

Candidates must possess the existing right to live and work in the European Economic Area (EEA). You will possess excellent spoken and written English language skills. The ability to speak a south eastern European language is advantageous.
