Our client is global organisation offering ship management and marine consultancy services worldwide. Their established consultancy department delivers complete newbuild, conversion and repair services to the commercial market.
The role
Working for an established ship design consultancy you will work within an experienced team to deliver newbuild, conversion and major repair projects.
You be will involved in the following activities:
• Concept and detailed design
• Stability analysis
• Medication surveys
• Light weight surveys
• Damage surveys
• Inclining experiments
This position is ideal for an individual who wants to progress and develop within an expanding business.
The person
To be a suitable candidate you should possess the following profile:
• Degree qualified Naval Architect
• Proven solid experience in the ship design of commercial vessels
• Your employment background should be either working within a design consultancy, reputable shipyard or for a shipowner
• You must have commercial vessel design experience, pure naval project background will not be considered
• You must be willing to travel internationally as required to visit ongoing projects
