The company

Our client is a small consulting business that is part of a larger manufacturing group who deal with water treatment and injections systems. They believe in providing a bespoke solution to their clients tailoring kit and consulting on the commissioning and installation process. As this company is still in the early stages this provides any person starting to help lead and guide the company in the best possible direction in its future.

The role

This is a unique and interesting opportunity for a process engineer who would relish the idea of working in a small but fast expanding firm who are looking for an engineer with an extensive skill set. Our client will have the successful engineer designing water treatment and injection equipment and systems. You will be involved with consulting on the installation and commissioning of such equipment as well as trouble shooting problems. You will manage specific process technology projects and contribute to the overall produced water treatment business. Though this company is owned by a sizeable group this specific department is still in it’s infancy and they are needing to expand the team. An aspect of this role will be helping in the business development stage by talking with industry contacts and selling the concepts and services via strong technical understanding and advising potential clients.

The person

You will be:
• Degree qualified or have direct industry experience that compensates for a lack of a degree in process engineering
• Extensive experience of working with water treatment and injection systems
• Right to live and work in the UK
• Interested to work in a consultancy function and support the manufacturing function of the group
• Happy to meet with clients and sell the concepts through technical understanding supporting the sales team
• Need to be an autonomous individual with motivation and drive required to work in a new company
• Willing to coach and train newer members of the team and egger to help in the recruitment of a larger team as projects workload gets too extensive

The reward

The draw to this role for most people will be the fact that you don’t have to work in London or Aberdeen but can work in the south west of the UK. An opportunity to be away from the big cities. You will also get to join this company when they are still in the process of building their senior engineering and management team. They will be expanding quickly and you will be managing a fair sized team before long.
