The role
Acting as an Operations Support Engineer you will be expected to:
• Produce Welltest Design Submittals with related drawings and calculations.
• Liaise with all departments (primarily well test) on technical matters relating to all welltest/process kit and operation of that kit.
• Ensure all Welltest and Process equipment drawings are completed in a professional manner.
• To oversee and check all Engineering calculations drawings, technical specifications and functional specifications of all Welltest process kit.
• To perform process calculations to evaluate Welltest systems and Process systems.
• To go offshore when requested to carry out Rig surveys and any other necessary Enginering/Technical Inspections or reviews.
• Review of machinery drawings etc.
• Engineering design calculations for specific projects.
• Provide detailed Engineering and Technical Support to ops teams in a constantly changing environment.
• Based In Aberdeen.
The person
The Ideal Candidate will have a strong engineering background (preferably Process or Mechanical). A sound knowledge of Welltesting systems OR Hydrocarbon processing systems/techniques. This person will need to have an extensive knowledge of AutoCAD. Experience in complex engineering calculations and oil & gas methods and equations. Along with a good knowledge of equipment manufacture, modification and fabrication techniques.
