The company

Constructing and operating 7 LNG trains and a condensate refinery on behalf of Qatar Petroleum, Exxonmobil, Total, Mitsui, Marubeni, Shell, Cosmo and Idemitsu and chartering 11 LNG carriers from major LNG shipping companies and the Q-Flex and Q-Max class vessels; Qatargas is realising it’s vision to deliver LNG to customers around the globe from it’s world class facilities in Qatar.

The role

Acting for the companies Charterers, you will be responsible for the technical management and observation of third party managed LNG Carriers. You will be involved in carrying out regular ISM audits as well as liaising with the relevant parties to manage warranty claims, manage the planned maintenance system, and all other responsibilities found in a Technical Superintendent role.

The person

Whilst it is preferable that you have gained experience working with gas ships, a background in conventional tankers can also be considered. It is, however, essential that you have sailed up to the rank of Chief Engineer. Experience of carrying out audits will also be seen as beneficial.
