The Burj Dubai, the UAE’s latest ‘mega structure’ has been
announced as the world’s tallest building when it soared an incredible 512.1
metres (1,680 ft) on July 21st 2007.
It overtakes Taiwans
‘Taipei 101’
which held the title since its launch in 2004 at 508 metres (1,667 ft). The
final height of the Burj Dubai has not yet been revealed and is the topic of
massive debate amongst the industry.
